Master Gichin FunakoshiThere is no first attack in karate.”
Master Gichin Funakoshi

The quote above, from one of the earliest Okinawan karate masters, is the essence of our karate philosophy. Karate is first and foremost used for self-defense, not for attacking or intimidation. People who study karate with us do so to improve themselves. True students of karate are humble people who use their skills only in defense of themselves or others when there is no alternative.
